Tra le Gael is a Montana favorite that plays Celtic music ranging from sweet harmonies to driving, energetic reels.
The group features Gary Morris on mandolin and guitar, Barbara Calm on hammered dulcimer, Karin Hilding on penny whistle and flute, and Katy Meyers on Celtic folk harp. The variety of their arrangements, from traditional to contemporary, fits many a festive occasion. Tra le Gael has been featured at Irish festivals throughout Montana and the Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle. Their new cd, Sailing Home to Glacier, was released in January . Tra le Gael appears on the Montana PBS series “11th and Grant with Eric Funk” airing in March 2012.
